The IT Manager will have the following skills and experience;

Knowledge of HP/Dell Servers, Dell laptops and workstations, laser printers is essential.

Operating Systems: Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers, Windows 7/8, Linux (Debian) – limited

Operating Systems: Active Directory, Hyper-V farm, ESXi 4

Good communication skills: verbal/written

Good problem solving skills.

Personal work planning and organisational skills

The IT Manager will responsible for looking after and delivering 1st/2nd Line Support and recommendations to the business in the following areas;

Email and server administration

HP/NetGear/Cisco switches and firewalls

Networking [IP, DNS, DHCP], Cat5 cabling, wifi access points

VLANs

VPNs (ideally IPSEC Cisco)

Support of mobile devices (iPhone 5, iPads etc.)

Asset inventory

Dealing with third-parties and procurement

Desirable experience for the IT Manager to hold

Office telephony systems (Avaya IP Office 4)

Cisco PIX firewall

Sage, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4

PowerShell scripting

TMG 2010

ESXi 4

GLPI service desk software (open source)

As IT Manager you will be responsible for the maintenance of all computer software hardware, communications and networking infrastructure within the business .

The IT Manager will report directly to the Operations Director and provide strategic recommendations to meet current and future requirements, contribute to organisational IT policy and provide training to staff where appropriate.
