A .NET focused Software Developer is required for a long term contract as part of a new technical programme in Spain. You will be contracting with an international technical group that specialises in providing information and communication technology services across a global and internationally recognised organisation. The successful .NET Developer will be responsible for the whole development life cycle including design and development, testing and configuration. Duties and responsibilities: * Prepare and install software solutions * Work in coordination with the database administrators and application support unit * Prepare development technical documentation, and perform testing activities on the developed software code * Participate in configuration, release, change, performance, availability and security management * Perform database replications and updates * Provide support and resolve service call tickets escalated from the DFS Service Desk, if requested * Ensure procedures and standards related to software management are used and provide related documentation * Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new releases in accordance with established configuration management standards * Assist in database structural changes required during system upgrades and in coordination with application support and development team, assist in software upgrades * Provide statistical and management reports on the development and project activities * Prepare the User Acceptance Tests * Perform other duties, as required Skills Required: * Excellent knowledge and a minimum of 3 years developing software with .NET Framework, Ajax, C#, Web Services Technique, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript * Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2008 * Knowledge of LDAP and IIS Servers * Web and graphic design skills desirable * Software development Microsoft Certifications desirable * ITIL and PRINCE 2 would be a plus * Experience in providing development technical documentation; * Excellent English (both written and verbal) * Spanish is desirable but not essential For more info or to apply please contact Quanta Consultancy Services.
