Take ownership for the commercial aspects of the Cloud Delivered Managed Services (CDMS) business within SCC Data Centre Services department. With responsibility for establishing a commercial framework and data driven knowledge base to assist in decision making for the CDMS line of business. Creation and maintenance of CDMS business models and supporting the business with commercial management of internal and external suppliers.
Key Focus Areas
Responsible for service economics and cost modelling for internal and externally delivered managed services
Work with product management to produce product pricing and maintain pricelists for consumption of the business
Provide deal pricing support to sales, solution architects and other internal commercial teams
Where relevant, own and maintain pricing tools
Monitor and track ROI of products and services/service lines
Commercial contract negotiation and management of suppliers
Business case modelling in the form of P&Ls for products platforms and services
Are you who we are looking for?
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the IT services industry, involved in the commercial/financial areas of managed service solutions
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
Strong commercial background including contract negotiation skills
Demonstrable understanding of the costs associated with the provision of Data Centre Services solutions
Graduate calibre with excellent numerical skills
Good understanding of total cost of ownership and a thorough understanding of data centre services costing models
Good understanding of contract governance and supplier management
Previous experience of working in a data centres business environment, and a good understanding of data centre technology and services essential
Highly articulate and numerate with an ability to explain complex issues to technical, financial and other stakeholders
Black belt in spreadsheet management
Ability to understand and create financial models for complex technical solutions
