Our client has an opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to identify and resolve software faults and support any application and system problems. You will liaise with their clients to correct data and assist with any issues caused by inaccurate use of the application functionality. A good communicator, you will ensure that customers are informed of the progression and resolution of the issue and log all details with succinct technical information relating to the identification, actions and resolution. With a systematic approach, you will ensure that any technical faults or issues are resolved quickly, so as not to disrupt the day-to-day processes. You will be accustomed to remaining calm in demanding situations and will demonstrate a level-headed approach when dealing with issues.
Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience, you will have gained experience of application development methodology and will have an excellent working knowledge of SQL language. You will be commercially aware and will recognise the importance of delivering a good service to customers. You will take ownership for any technical problems and be able to develop basic application code using modern object based language. With a background in a technical position, you will be adept at investigating and demonstrating excellent diagnostic skills.
