Technical Support Manager (Retail / Remote Support)
Our client has rapidly become one of the leading retail maintenance service providers in the UK. Today, they support over 3000 stores and 20 head office sites, across the UK. They work with their colleagues to make sure all their sites operate properly. Ultimately, the work they do means their customers and colleagues have a comfortable and enjoyable environment to shop and work in. They are involved at all stages of a store lifecycle. From development through to the opening of a store, they make sure maintenance requirements are considered and delivered to the highest operational and sustainable standards.
Position: Technical Support Manager
Location: Nationwide role (Main Office based in Milton Keynes)
Salary: up to £45K per annum
The Technical Support Manager will work with the team and stakeholders to drive the future strategy of technical support to their Category teams to deliver industry leading service. You will ensure your team provide remote technical support for proactive diagnosis of maintenance problems to bring them to permanent and timely solution.
You will work collaboratively with your colleagues to ensure parts requests deliver best value, and understand facts and have accurate data to help the team do the right thing for customers. You will use your knowledge and technical skills to ensure the Desk Engineers deliver exceptional quality service to their customers and internal stakeholders.
You will use knowledge and insights to identify and improve operational problems throughout the Category Teams, and ensure your team deliver for their customers and colleagues by tracking performance to ensure KPI indicators are achieved. You will identify opportunities to deliver operational improvement and value added benefits through trend analysis
You will develop management reporting structures to reflect on-going changes in the operating model, and have full ownership and control of your budget. You will look for the opportunity to ‘use their scale for good’ within the local community putting Tesco Maintenance into the heart of the community.
You will manage yourself and your time to ensure you deliver consistently, taking care of your own physical and emotional wellbeing so you will always be at your best.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a technical support role, and being able to provide remote technical support. You can provide great customer service to both customers and internal stakeholders. You can keep your eyes open looking for opportunities to improve your department. You share your ideas and encourage your colleagues to do the same
