To work closely with the business and ICT teams to ensure that they focus on the correct priorities, the key areas and the most applicable outputs.
Serve as the interface between the development and the business analysis team, providing a systems analysis service and to cross over in to business analysis when required in order to ensure the most effective software solutions are designed, developed and deployed to meet the businesses requirements.
Extract and understand the business and translate these into business and system solutions to meet the business need.
Estimating analysis activities to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Formulate business / system requirements for more complex and abstract high level objectives.
Assist in stakeholder management, ensuring the correct stakeholders are engaged throughout the lifecycle of the projects
Build strong relationships with the stakeholders using the appropriate style of communication for the audience.
To identify and evolve best working practices, seeking out new techniques which can be adapted for use by self and others.
To gather requirements and liaise with customer-facing business analysts throughout the project lifecycle.
To identify risks and issues and evolve processes
Formally review developers work to ensure it meets the business requirement
Plan and estimate analysis deliverables and assisting in the management of project stakeholders.
Work closely with key stakeholders to proactively identify project risks and issues. Also work closely with this group to understand the technical constraints and options that will guide the recommended solutions.
Develop detailed application functional requirements in accordance with the defined processes and standards.
Own the business requirement throughout the development lifecycle ensuring the deliverable is fit for business purpose.
Understand and translate vendor technical specifications and materials
Produce high level integrated technical solutions for bespoke, COTS or hybrid solutions.
Produce technical specifications to enable developers / technologists to engineer, estimate and deploy solutions.
Demonstrate the Quality Assurance of 3rd party deliverables.
Experience acting as a systems analyst within large scale software development projects and /or systems integration projects.
A general understanding of software design patterns and the inherent constraints with the use of COTS produces as part of an overall solution. Any experience of specifying requirements with the use of integrated and customised COTS products would be beneficial.
A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle with experience in working within a formal lifecycle, Waterfall and/or Agile.
A good understanding of software testing both functional and non-functional.
An understanding of web accessibility standards.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
An understanding of software design patterns and/or software architecture.
An understanding of the importance of project management in a software development lifecycle.
Works in a structured and repeatable way.
The ability to write and review concise technical documentation.

SCRUM (User Stories, Backlogs, Stand-ups, Volleyballs, Showcases).
User Stories (Cohn, Agile, Kanban).
Behavioural Driven Development ( BDD, TDD, Given-When-Then (Cucumber/Gherkin).
Process Modelling (As-is, To-be – Swim lanes).
Use-case Driven (business & system).
UX driven design (User journeys, Story boards, Wire-frames).
UML (Activity, Class, Sequence and State Diagrams)
Jira and Confluence.
Graduate calibre: professional qualification or equivalent experience.
Excellent inter-personal skills, to include: Strong written and verbal communication ability, Consultancy skills (e.g. workshop facilitation, presentation skills).
Influencing skills (e.g. stakeholder management): Able to establish, maintain and develop effective relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
