The IT Support Analyst provides a comprehensive end user support service that requires an in depth knowledge of a wide range of IT technologies, desktop services and application systems. This role adds value by implementing, to common standards, systems and hardware that are consistently stable, reliable and which deliver business benefits.
Accountabilities & Activities
*Assign and prioritise IT incidents and service requests in order to ensure that user problems are dealt with in an appropriate, timely and effective manner.
*Provide 2nd line technical support (both within and outside core hours) in order to diagnose and resolve problems and maintain desktop services.
*Install and configure hardware, including PCs, servers and backup devices to call centres and computer rooms, to ensure a reliable and available platform for business critical applications.
*Install, configure and maintain software on networked, portable and standalone PCs and fileservers.
*Operate and maintain data storage and backup procedures for file servers, to ensure the integrity and security of corporate and client data.
*Implement and maintain systems processes such as Anti-virus, domain administration and user access.
*Undertake project work as directed by the Senior Analyst or Team Leader with respect to Client implementations and infrastructure development.
*Working in a similar role and IT environment.
*Strong analytical skills and be able to solve technical problems across different platforms.
*Team player and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
*Aable to demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels within the organisation.
*’A’ level or equivalent in a related field eg Information Technology
*Certified industry courses eg MCP, MCSA or similar
*Experience in remote deployment technologies (SCCM, LANDesk etc)
*Experience in Supporting users in a Citrix environment
*Experience of supporting Microsoft Office, Outlook or Lotus Notes
*Experience in Desktop Imaging
*Full UK driving License (for pool vehicle use)

‘A’ level or equivalent in a related field eg Information Technology
