We’re looking for outstanding Agile Coaches who know how to work with a team of highly skilled engineers in an emerging agile environment.
As an Agile Coach they are passionate about agile, communication, group dynamics and coaching. They need to be not afraid to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments from the team and to improve the organisation. We are at the early stage of our agile journey and need someone able to lead the way in the practice of agile. The coaches will work with the agile teams, scrum masters, product owners as well as assisting to educate our senior leadership team.
Coach teams facing tough challenges eg related to how they work and interact together, coping with the cultural as well as process changes
Coach individuals in order for them to grow and develop.
Coach the fundamentals of agile (eg. ceremonies) – The business has selected SAFe as a portfolio framework as well as Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Paired Programming and TDD, whilst we would be interesting in hearing other approaches it is important that the coaches focus first and foremost on the fundamentals we have agreed to adopt as an Enterprise
Coach the leadership team within the business
Teach teams agile methodologies using the materials that the business University has developed as a starting base
Facilitate learning through workshops and meetings
Actively try to identify waste and areas of improvement
Enable autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams
Continuously attempt to improve our most important asset – our people, and our way of working
We would look to review resumes for the proposed coaches and interview to ensure they are a cultural fit as well as having relevant experience. We require at least one year experience working as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner or Team Lead with agile software development teams. They need to have experience of using a combination of lean and agile practices to help teams succeed and organisations evolve. A genuine passion for helping teams and individuals grow and the ability to work with high-performing teams and challenge them to improve even further. Must be energized by change.
