This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SAP SD consultant to work for the UK’s fastest-growing national law firm, working out of their Northamptonshire office.
Our client are implementing the first instance of the SAP legal
template. This role will be essential in helping with the delivery of this project, all subsequent projects and developments within the SAP SD module. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, implementation, integration and support of the
SAP SD module in line with SAP’s legal template. The role will require extensive interaction with the business to ensure the system is fit for purpose and supported following go live. following go live, you will be required to support and work on a
variety of other SAP modules such as FICO, HR, CRM and BW (experience with these modules are not a key requirement for the successful candidate).
*To work closely with the business to analyse and understand their reporting requirements,
whilst developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
*To define and agree deliverables and timelines to ensure they are fit for purpose in line with the full project plan.
*To work with the project team to produce estimates for
the work required, these should be communicated effectively to ensure good expectation management.
*To monitor and motivate the project team while aligning to project plans at all stages of a project.
*To produce documentation, functional
specifications, training and testing scripts, configuration documents, risk and issue logs and any other necessary project and support documentation.
*To ensure all project communications, both written and verbal, are managed and delivered in a
*To manage any proposed changes or enhancements to agreed scope.
*Work effectively with the whole project team to ensure a fully integrated system is delivered
*Mentor new members of the team who will be cross trained
from other applications
*To, as required, manage suppliers and contractors to ensure targets and deliverables are met.
*Minimise the firm’s exposure to risk.
*To ensure projects meet quality standards.
*Ensure that you understand
and follow the required IS Policy, Procedures and guidelines provided by the IS Department.
*Establish and maintain effective working relationships with rest of the IS department.
*Assist other areas of the IS department as and when
*Be aware of current Health and Safety requirements and co-operate with Facilities Management.
The successful candidate will posses most of the following skills:
*Experience of at least 3 full life cycles from Blueprint
to Go Live
*Around 5 years experience of SAP SD support, configuration and implementation
*Configuration and support experience
*Strong communication skills with stakeholder management
*Experience of other
SAP modules (for example, FICO, HR, CRM, BW etc)
*Experience in a law firm, professional services firm or other service sector industry (not essential)
Qualifications and other role-specific requirements
*Educated to degree level
*Prince 2/ASAP qualified
Travel to other offices will be necessary on occasions.
It is essential that the SAP SD Business Analyst can work flexible or
extended hours to complete some tasks outside of core business hours of 08:00 to 18:00.
