Job Description:

As UX Consultant you will be responsible for UX research, digital design consultancy and advice to some of the UK’s biggest and best known brands.

You will have proven user experience consultancy/digital agency experience and be commercially minded with an appreciation for the challenges businesses face. You will be a creative thinker, a strong design researcher and will have excellent client facing and time management skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity for user experience consultants to take a role in an energetic team as part of Europe’s largest experience design agency.

Managing and delivering a wide range of user experience projects.
Conducting user research and moderating interviews.
Developing customer insight to inform meaningful recommendations to achieve your clients’ project and commercial objectives.
Writing and presenting persuasive and authoritative reports and presentations.
Leading or working as part of project teams to deliver user-centred designed digital products and services.
Contributing to proposals by designing methodologies that meet client briefs and objectives.
Managing projects to quality standards, budget and time.
Taking a quality assurance role across various projects ensuring quality of method and advice.

Required skills and experience:

Proven experience at a user experience consultancy, digital agency, product or service design agency or working client side.
Solid academic background- ideally educated to degree level (Computing Sciences, HCI, Business, Psychology or Design).
Detailed knowledge and practical experience of a wide range of research methodologies, including ethnographic techniques.
Experienced at moderating interviews, focus groups and workshops.
Experience of secondary research methods, such as desk research, landscape mapping, trends research, competitor analysis.
Experience in user experience methodologies and practices, including user-centred design.
Strong synthesis and analysis skills with the ability to translate research and data into meaningful and creative insight.
Good understanding of business commercials.
Excellent report writing and preparing visual presentations including high-level of competency in MS Word and PowerPoint. Experience of Axure and Adobe CS desirable.
Excellent time management and team working.
Desirable skills and experience
Experience of working across a range of mobile and tablet platforms and good knowledge of the mobile landscape.
Experience in creating or informing multi-channel services or experiences.
Experience in designing and facilitating co-creation sessions and collaborative workshops with stakeholders and users.

Excellent client relationship skills: You must be able to create rapport and relationships across a range of clients and functions.
Excellent communication skills: You must be fully confident taking on a client-facing role with the necessary skills required to work with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

Passion and creative thinking:
