Please note: In addition to the basic salary of up to £34,565, this role will be considered for a market supplement up to a total annual remuneration of £40,000. Any supplement applied will be reviewed annually.

The University of Southampton is home to the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC), established in 2008. NETSCC manages evaluation research programmes and other research on behalf of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
NETSCC is currently seeking to appoint a candidate with demonstrable extensive experience in Microsoft SQL Reporting Development and Information Analysis to support its Information Systems Team with the delivery of Information services, including report writing and information analysis.
The successful candidate will be familiar with a wide range of database technologies, and will be familiar with supporting and configuring reporting solutions using Microsoft BI Software, Data Warehouses and data sources in order to provide transactional, management and decision support information to a wide range of audiences.
In addition to a general background in IT and information, the successful candidate will have experience of the following reporting tasks:
- Creating Entity Relations Diagram (ERD) documentation
- Business requirements elicitation
- Query optimisation
- Database design
- Database development
- Analysis and presentation of information to a wide range of audiences
This is a Fixed Term appointment until 31st March 2018. The post is expected to be full time, but part time working may be considered for the right candidate(s).
