Currently in the midst of a range of organisational change initiatives, we’re looking to grow and develop our own in-house planning capability to successfully support this large scale portfolio of work.
As an experienced project/programme planner, from a related financial services background – ideally with Life & Pensions exposure – you must be able to demonstrate:
-A proven ability to build complex project plans to high standards and a successful track record in supporting large scale programmes of significant complexity and value
-Solid project planning skills and a strong knowledge of planning principles, coupled with a clear understanding of all key project/programme methodologies, processes and documentation
-Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills, along with the ability to manage, coach and mentor other team members
-The confidence and know-how to interact and influence at a senior level, as well as produce relevant and meaningful MI
-A good level of IT/PC literacy, particularly in respect of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint applications
In this specialist role, based within our Change Delivery function, you’ll work with Project/Programme Managers to lead and support project planning activities across the business. Specifically, this will involve:
-Building and maintaining robust plans across one or multiple projects/programmes – identifying key milestones, dependencies, critical path, risks and assumptions
-Actively managing, monitoring and tracking workstream progress, project deliverables and associated documentation – providing regular reports and updates
-Supporting Project/Programme Managers by producing and developing appropriate planning MI for inclusion in steering and board packs
-Owning and acting as a subject matter expert for planning standards – maintaining improving and championing consistent and effective planning on a company wide basis
In return, you can look forward to a rewarding future, with genuine prospects, in a rapidly developing FTSE listed company fully intent on becoming a ‘best in class’ financial and risk management enterprise.
