Web Systems Administrator with excellent linux, apache and networking skills required for the world’s number one music broadcasting company to be based in their Camden office.
Skills & Background
Computer or Business related Degree (2.1 and above)
Good written and spoken English and an ability to communicate with IS and Business Employees at all levels.
Minimum 2 years hosting experience (web based systems)
Strong web server skills (Apache) – able to install/ configure, trouble shoot issues
Linux – able to install/ configure, trouble shoot issues
Good knowledge of Networking (load balancer, firewall, TCIP)
About the Role
You’ll be joining a small but growing team of high calibre individuals and with media networks which reach 700 million across 160 different countries and territories so you’ll also be gaining considerable exposure to international projects and issues. The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance, development, and systems administration of MTVNE’s hosting platform – for both the production and development environments. They will provide the first technical point of contact for all issues pertaining to the availability, security and performance of all VIMN’s online machines, in both the production and development/QA environment and maintain a technical understanding of the security layers and standards those are appropriate for the risks faced by the business.
